Position: Payments Analyst
Reporting to: Group Operations Manager
Status: Permanent
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Hours: Full-Time (basic hours 09:00 to 17:30 / 10:00 to 18:30)

Reporting to the Group Operations Manager, the Payments Analyst will help ensure the smooth operation of the Faster Processing product. Key tasks include setting up new customers, monitoring the platform, and providing excellent service to existing customers. The role also involves reconciling, processing, and funding daily transactions, offering insight into the company’s operations and finances.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Monitor system triggers
- Monitor internal systems to ensure they are running as expected
- Daily reconciliation of payments received versus payment issued
- Review account set-up
- Monitor daily and hourly reporting to make sure statements are issued correctly
- Run and monitor various internal controls to ensure operational processes are completed correctly with no impact on the company, clients, or funding
- Providing timely feedback and/or escalating any settlement issues
- Monitoring and maintaining customer data
- Monitor any financial exposures the company faces
Skills/attributes:
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Good time management skills with an ability to work to strict deadlines
- Confidence with numbers
- Strong organisation and time management skills with an aptitude for multi-tasking
- Have a pro-active and reactive nature
- Approach problems in a thorough and logical manner
- Be a confident decision maker
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access
- Ideally have experience within the payment industry
